![]() ![]() Having played around for a bit I went with B&W for my final edit - a Fuji film simulation. (I haven't identified which one is which. Though quite subtle, there are differences. (FilmPack 6 provides a number of other 'film simulation' and processing treatments, which I didn't fiddle about with in this instance). Minor exposure tweaks were also applied Lightroom. I've processed an R5 raw file in DXO PhotoLab 5 Elite (FilmPack 6 plug-in used), one version given a generic R5 colour profile, the other a generic Fuji Velvia 100 colour profile. Bear in mind DxO have regular sales, the biggest one traditionally being over the Black Friday period. There is a free trial version available Here. ![]() This can be used standalone, or as a DXO PhotoLab, Photoshop, Lightroom or Capture One plug-in. Does anyone here have any tips of making the images from Canon R or any other Canon cameras pretty straight out of the camera?Īs others have said, if a Fuji colour slant or feel appeals, consider DXO FilmPack 6. I have tried using some of the picture styles profiles from Canon website but they looked like superficial filters than anything else. The editing/retouching process at least for me is so convenient that I have actually chosen my Fuji bodies over Canon R for a few paid work in recent years. With Fujifilm photos, I just fix the perspectives of Jpegs a bit but I rarely touch the RAW files and do a full grading as I love the pre customised film simulation. I just think that the natural Canon colours that comes out my Canon JPEGs are dull and requires too much post work with RAW to make it look filmlike. I have been a big fan or Canon cameras and its color schemes for ages and ever since I have acquired Fujifilm X-E1 and X-T20 two years I am not using Canon as much. ![]()
